"An exuberant outfit, with chefs working at the back in a semi open kitchen.Dishes of the day – maybe roast pork with sage or Valencia rice with seafood – are displayed in a cabinet at the front and packed to order by caring staff." Time out Eating and drinking awards 2008.

Kitchen

Kitchen

In our kitchen we have a vast repertoire of dishes - we use traditional recipes from diverse cultures specializing in the basic principles of European cookery.

Quality ingredients give our staff the opportunity to improve and learn new skills, enriching their day to day routine and keeping craft cookery skills in the community and more importantly in our kitchen. Our food really is hand made !! This is in contrast to caterers in industrial units who bring in agency chefs to assemble their menus.

We don’t buy frozen ingredients. 60 % of our fresh produce is from the south of England, 80% of our food purchases are from UK producers, 35% of these are certified organicsome of our suppliers are _http://www.chegworthvalley.com/,http://www.thefishmongerltd.com

The shop, café, office and kitchen are in the same building so the staff get an insight into the business as a whole making HMF a great place to learn about different aspects of the catering industry. We have a very low staff turnover because of these principals. We can be found on a number of other great organic london sites such as The organic london caterer http://www.organic-london.co.uk
